"Great choice of books at a reasonable."

Great choice of books at a reasonable price. Purchased books arrived on time. One or two were a little 'musty' other than that it wld have been 5 stars.

"Books arrived but there was no padding."

Books arrived but there was no padding so the covers were both dinged or torn and the packing itself was torn.

"Got home to an empty envelope"

Got home to an empty envelope. I think Royal Mail had left the package hanging out of the mailbox. When I messaged about this (after battling with a not very intelligent AI chatbot), they didn't even acknowledge my message.

"Awful customer support"

Absolutely awful experience I bought two books from them and what arrived was completely wrong, tried contacting customer service and they stopped responding after the first message, I spent $50 and feel like I've been scammed. Wrong items and lied about condition one of the books arrived with multiple tears and that apparently is "very good" condition.

"Condition of books"

Previously books described as in very good condition looked like they had hardly been used. This time they definitely looked old and marked.

"The books were meant to be good."

"disappointing customer service"

ordering the books were fine and delivered quickly, however my package was ripped and two of the books i paid for were missing - have contacted them 3 times, only one of which was replied to, and wasnt helpful at all, just commented that they were delivered even tho the subject to my message was i was missing an item. I have placed orders before and they were good but im very dissatisfied with the customer service side of things this time round. I have replied to the email they sent saying yes they were delivered but im still missing two and here a couple days later i still have no response.

"Travel books arrived with no map!"

I've used WOB before & books received have been in good condition. This time I ordered 4 travel books, unfortunately 2 of them did not have the map. The map had been removed! Obviously of no use for my upcoming trip. This should definitely have been flagged before purchasing as I would not have bought them!

About Wob

World Of Books Group is a circular economy, for-profit business that supports charities and protects the planet by enabling more goods to be reused. From a single bag of books we now re-home and recycle over 75 million used books a year. We buy books from charity shops and other sources, or through Ziffit – our App and website. We sell them on our own website and on other platforms – we are the largest volume seller on eBay globally. Our recycling partners turn unwanted books into other useful products – nothing goes to waste. This is supported by our own proprietary software platform which streamlines our processes. We also provide software services to charities and other re-sellers to help them maximise their e-commerce sales. As a recently accredited B Corp (Business For Good), we are growing quickly in the UK and internationally. With nearly 300,000 sq ft of warehouses in Cincinnati (US), West Sussex (UK) and a new state-of-the-art warehouse in Coventry (UK), sales in 2020 will be nearly £80 million. Our company was founded on an ethos to do good, to help charities and to make a positive impact. We don’t believe that books should only be read once, or have a single owner. We want to share the love of literature by rereading and reusing books. This is why our prices are low and delivery is free - to help millions of used books find new homes in over 190 countries every year.
